PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an illegal carry-out preventive book suitable for a mass production without outstanding a magnetic material and a method for manufacturing the same. SOLUTION: The illegal carry-out preventive book comprises a sheet-like member having pressure sensitive adhesive and the magnetic material for inducing a Barkhausen effect provided at an inside of a backbone cover. The method for manufacturing the illegal carry-out preventive book comprises the steps of cutting the magnetic material, adhering the material to the inside of the backbone in line or the backbone side of the text page contacted with the cover immediately before a cover is mounted on book pages by using a material for holding the magnetic material at the member and winding the magnetic material in a tape-like state and then mounting the cover. Or, the method for manufacturing the illegal carry-out preventive book comprises the steps of cutting a magnetic material member, adhering the material member to the inside of the backbone of the cover in line or to the tape member, adhering the cut tape member to the backbone side of the book pages contacted with the cover immediately before the cover is mounted at the book pages by a bookbinding machine by using the tape member for winding the sheet-like member having the pressure sensitive adhesive in a tape-like state and the magnetic material member winding the magnetic material, adhering the cut tape member, and then mounting the cover.
