<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an air bag cover capable of preventing hard-to-observe obstructive predicted break lines from appearing to provide an excellent appearance by improving the inflating characteristics of an air bag and the developing characteristics of an air bag cover, and also increase the productivity. SOLUTION: This air bag cover 6 comprises a predicted breakage part 9 forming an opening for air bag inflation in a covered surface 8 for covering the air bag 4. The predicted breakage part is formed of a groove part thinner in wall thickness than the other covered surfaces. The groove part is tilted relative to the covered surface. After the cover is formed, the groove part is formed by using a laser cutter tilted relative to the covered surface. The opening area of the opening for air bag inflation is increased by maximally and effectively using the cover. Even if the cover receives a force in shearing direction along the groove part by the pressing operation from the surface of the cover, merely the tilted wall surfaces of the groove part opposed to each other are fitted close to each other, and the cover is not deformed in recessed shape from the front side of the cover.</p> |
