PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ink-jet recording head and an ink-jet recording apparatus in which nozzles can be arranged with high density and the ink discharge efficiency is improved. SOLUTION: The ink-jet recording head has a plurality of pressure generation chambers 2 communicating with nozzle openings, a reservoir 100 as a common ink chamber for the plurality of pressure generation chambers 12, and piezoelectric elements 300 for generating a pressure change in the pressure generation chambers 12. The pressure generation chambers 12 are set so that at least one end parts in a longitudinal direction of adjacent pressure generation chambers 12 are made positionally different in the longitudinal direction, and moreover, the other end parts in the longitudinal direction are made to communicate with the reservoir 100 via an ink supply passage 14. A projecting part 15 projecting inward is set to the ink supply passage 14. A channel resistance of each ink supply passage is made constant by setting a quantity of the projection of the projecting part 15 to be smaller as the ink supply passage 14 is longer.
