<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To transfer a recording material normally even if the residual capacity of a battery is low by suppressing the peak current when a plurality of kinds of recording material are transferred. SOLUTION: A decision is made which of color material recording or overcoat material recording is performed, and when color material recording is performed, dividing number of heaters in a line thermal head 58 is set at 1 and the driving speeds of a capstan motor 67 and a ribbon carrying motor 68 are set, respectively, at V. In case of overcoat material recording, print data for overcoat is generated, dividing number of heaters in the line thermal head 58 is set at 2 and the driving speeds of the capstan motor 67 and the ribbon carrying motor 68 are set, respectively, at V/2. Dividing number of heaters is set depending on the kind of recording material being heated and the peak value of driving current of the heaters is suppressed.</p> |
