Measuring station for use in a system for determining the position of a transponder which transmits a signal and which moves along a circuit with at least one measuring station comprising antenna means for receiving said signal at at least two measuring points positioned at the two outer end points of a line segment which crosses said circuit, which measuring station comprises: a first and a second receiver each for measuring the signal through the antenna means at one of said outer end points; propagation time measuring means for measuring the propagation time difference between the signals from said receivers; evaluation means by means of which based on the measured propagation time difference it is determined at which position the transponder passes said line segment, the measuring station further comprising at least one calibration signal transmitter, which can be placed at a known position on the line segment for performing a calibration measurement. |
