PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a wire cutter capable of cutting metal wires on the thick side such as soft steel wires with ease. SOLUTION: When a pair of handles are opened, blade sections relatively open due to the link motion of a link mechanism from a pin as a center. When pressing the handles in the direction to close the handles with a wire such as a soft steel wire set between the blade sections, the blade sections close due to the link motion, as a result, the wire is cut with light force. In cutting, reaction force works in the direction to press back the blade sections, but the arc shape external peripheral face of a cutter section is pressed against the guide member of the other cutter section. At the same time, the arc shape external peripheral face of the latter cutter section is pressed against the guide pin of the former cutter section. As a result, the blade sections approach each other in the closing direction to resist the reaction force.
