PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To detect a leakage of battery by very simple structure. SOLUTION: For the leakage detection method of a battery system, a temperature sensor 3, detecting the temperature of batteries 2 depending on the change of resistance, is arranged at the neighboring area of the surface of the batteries 2, and the leakage of the batteries 2 is detected by detecting the leakage current flowing from an electrode of the batteries 2 to the temperature sensor 3.
