A connecting member and a connector are provided to improve the treatment of a lamp tube, and facilitate the attachment and detachment of the lamp tube. A connector is configured to connect a lamp tube having a lead wire(4). The connector comprises a contact(3) having a contact portion(5) contacted with the lead wire and a pressing portion(6) adjacent to the contact portion, and a slider(2) movable with respect to the contact. The slider operates the pressing portion according to movement of the slider, thereby moving the contact portion. The contact further has: a slider housing portion for housing the slider therein, wherein the slider is rotatively supported by the slider housing portion; a slider receiving portion receiving the slider; a board connecting portion for connection to a board; and a flexible link portion interposed between the slider receiving portion and the board connecting portion.
