PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a gas leak alarm capable of urging a user to replace a battery by getting to know that the battery is exhausted except for a residue, by which the alarm can keep operation in another period not shorter than a fixed period, before the battery is exhausted completely. SOLUTION: A control part 2 is provided with a battery exhaustion detection circuit 5 for detecting the exhaustion of the battery except for the residue, by which the alarm can keep operation in another period not shorter than the fixed period, before the battery 4 of power source is exhausted completely. In the detection, an alarming (displaying) part 3 reports the exhaustion of the battery by emitting sound or light.
