PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical transmitter that can easily generate an optical signal subjected to band limit and closer to an ideal signal so as to contribute to long distance, large capacity and low cost requirements of an optical communication system. SOLUTION: The optical transmitter is provided with a band limit means that applies band limit to a binary data electric signal, an electrooptic conversion means that converts the electric signal subjected to band limit into an optical signal, and an amplifier means that amplifies the signal so as to have a voltage required to drive the electrooptic conversion means, and the band limit means is placed between the amplifier means and the electrooptic conversion means. |
