PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sealed lead-acid battery having longer service life and enhanced reliability, by making sealing of a terminal part more reliable with a comparatively simple structure. SOLUTION: In this sealed lead-acid battery, the head part of a bolt-shaped body having a screw part on one side and a head part on the other is fixedly embedded in the pole of the battery, and the screw part of the bolt-shaped body is passed through from the opening of a battery container or a lid to the outside of the battery in order to form a terminal. The pole is made of a deformable conductive material, a ring-shaped protuberance is provided on the lower surface of the periphery of the opening part, a nut is mounted and fastened to the screw part, and the periphery of the opening part is pressed. Thereby, the air-tightness of the sealed lead-acid battery is kept by fitting and crimping the ring-shaped protuberance to the upper surface of the pole. |
