<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device and a method for positioning the cassette of an auto-loader constructing a highly reliable magnetic recording/reproducing device used as a capable of using as an unmanned backup device. SOLUTION: The device and the method for positioning a cassette height are constructed in such a manner that the deterioration of cassette height accuracy in each position with respect to a magazine or a driver caused by the dimensional tolerance of a component, mechanical wear, a change in a surrounding environment or the like is detected by learning during an initial operation for each magazine insertion or a normal operation, a cassette is adjusted to a correct height position, and this position is stored.</p> |
