The service quality determination method uses transmission of test packets between 2 network subscribers within the packet-oriented network via a standard routing protocol, e.g. a Border-Gateway protocal, for determining service quality information for the network link between the subscribers, used for subsequent evaluation of the useful data transmitted via the network link.
