PURPOSE: To provide an active matrix driven organic LED display unit and its manufacturing method, in which a short circuit between electrodes resulting from unevenness of a substrate, a pixel electrode, or the like, and degradation of the organic LED layer due to electric-field concentration, deterioration of display quality by dispersion in luminescence brightness, or the like, will not occur. CONSTITUTION: The organic LED display equipment has thin-film transistors(TFTs), planarizing films, pixel electrodes connected electrically with the drain electrodes of the TFTs through connection wiring formed by penetrating the planarizing films, and the organic LED devices which is constituted of the organic LED layers and counter electrodes which consists of at least a single-layer organic luminescence layer, on the substrate, and the applied current or the applied voltage of the LED devices can be controlled by the TFTs, and the pixel electrodes and the connection wiring are formed independently.
