PURPOSE: A heating and cooling air conditioner is provided to achieve an improved heating and cooling efficiency by improving compression capability of refrigerant gas. CONSTITUTION: An air conditioner comprises a compressor(1), a condenser(2), a capillary tube(3), and an evaporator(4). The compressor has an outlet pipe and an inlet pipe where bi-directional valves(51,52) are installed, respectively. A compressor(1) has a condenser(22) for heating operation, installed to a condenser line(20) interconnecting the compressor and the capillary tube. The condenser for heating operation is constituted by condenser fins(220), without using a blower fan, and the condenser fin has a heat collecting plate(221) arranged at the rear surface of condenser fin. Thus, cooling air is discharged in a smooth manner through the condenser during heating operation, to thereby improve compression capability of refrigerant gas. |
