PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To keep decline of whole system's processing efficiency minimum, in case that an error occurs with a device on a processing system which is connected with multiple devices through IEEE1394 serial buses. SOLUTION: When paper jamming occurs, a printer controller secures a new band for isochronous transfer and assigns an isochronous channel to the band (S401 and S402). And when paper jamming is dissolved, data retransmission for recovering paper jamming and transfer of the following image data are made through the new isochronous channel (S405 and S406). On the other hand, if a new band for isochronous transfer is unable to be secured, isochronous transfer of data for recovering paper jamming and so on is made to a printer engine unit where paper jamming occurs, after print output at the printer engine unit where paper jamming does not occur is completed. |
