FULLERENE-BASED POLYMER AND ELECTROLUMINESCENT DEVICE USING THE POLYMER

PURPOSE: A fullerene-based polymer and an electroluminescent device using the polymer are provided, wherein the polymer is prepared by simple method, is soluble in an organic solvent and can be mixed with other polymers easily. CONSTITUTION: The fullerene-based polymer is represented by the formula 1, wherein R1, R2 and R3 are independent each another and are H, an aromatic or aliphatic alkyl or alkoxy group of C1-C22, an aryl or aryloxy group of C6-C18, cyano group, cyanoethyl group, an alkyl or aryl derivative of silicon, tin and germanium; X is diacetylene, diethynyl aryl or divinyl aryl group, or a single bond; and n is an integer equal to or greater than 1. Preferably n is an integer of 1-1,000. The electroluminescent device contains a luminescent layer comprising the fullerene-based polymer and other polymers.
