PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a digital signature method by a simple compression method requiring no huge calculation amount while keeping unidirectionality. SOLUTION: A sender S ciphers an original M into a ciphertext C by a common key Kc to compose a common key ciphertext CKc (step S01); ciphers the original M into the ciphertext C by a secret key Ks to compose a secret key ciphertext CKs (step S02); compresses the secret key ciphertext CKs partway by a compression procedure P to generate a partway compression secret key ciphertext CKs" of (n×n) digits, and adopts this as a tentative signature sentence (step S03); ciphers the tentative signature sentence CKs" by a disturbance key Kd of (n×n) digits to compose a disturbance key tentative signature sentence C"Kd (step S04); ciphers the disturbance key tentative signature sentence C"Kd by the common key Kc to compose a common key disturbance tentative signature sentence C"KdKc (step S05); and adds the common key disturbance tentative signature sentence C"KdKc to the common key ciphertext CKc to send the result to a receiver R (step S06).
