PURPOSE: A method for adding and deleting a base station in a digital mobile communication system is provided to add or delete the base station without having an influence on a subscriber service provision by a system by changing PLD(Program Load Data) of a BSM(Base Station Manager), a BSC(Base Station Controller) and a base station on the basis of information of an added or deleted base station, loading a newly generated PLD to only the added base station, and operating the added base station. CONSTITUTION: A BSM receives information of an added or deleted base station from an operator(S1). The BSM transmits received information of the base station, information extracted from PLD of a BSC and a base station to a BSC and a base station which provide a service through a trunk so that the BSC and the base station change their PLD(S2). The BSM changes PLD on the basis of information of the added or deleted base station until a PLD change response is received from the BSC and the base station(S3). If the base station is added, the BSM generates PLD used in the added new base station on the basis of information of the added base station and information extracted from the PLD of the BSC and the base station which provide the service(S4). If the generation of the PLD is completed, the BSM loads the generated PLD and a software to the added new base station(S5).
