PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide generally a tuning fork for a speed sensor, specially a tuning fork and a method for maintaining mass balance, when specially a quadrature error is to be reduced. SOLUTION: Pairs of thin and long tines 11 and 12, and 13 and 14 having front and back surfaces are arranged symmetrically about an axis 17 and balance masses 26 and 27, and 28 and 29 on the front surface of one tine and on the back surface of the other tine are trimmed, to reduce a quadrature error and maintain the mass balance between the tines. |
