The present invention relates to trailing arm suspension with filtering-out of longitudinal shocks. This suspension, of the type comprising a trailing arm (12) which is articulated to the body of the vehicle at its front part and to a member (21) for supporting a wheel (R) of the vehicle at its rear part, as well as at least one transverse lever (151, 154) for guiding the wheel, this lever being articulated to the body by one of its ends (153) and by the other (152) to the support member (21), is characterised in that an articulation pin which extends more or less in the longitudinal direction (L) of the vehicle connects the support member (21) and the trailing arm (12) so as to allow the latter to move relative to the said member, substantially parallel to the said longitudinal direction (L). The present invention applies especially to a suspension for rear wheels of any motor vehicle. <IMAGE>
