PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a display device capable of performing clear multi-level color display. SOLUTION: In the display device, plural pixels have respectively a first TFT for switching, a second TFT for switching, a TFT for erasure, a TFT for driving an EL(electroluminescence) and an EL element, the switching of the TFT for erasure is controlled by the voltage of a kth gate signal line, the switching the first TFT for switching is controlled by the voltage of a (k+1)th gate signal line, and the switching of the second TFT for switching is controlled by the voltage of a (k+2)th gate signal line. When the first and second TFTs for switching are turned ON, a digital video signal is inputted to the gate electrode of the TFT for driving the EL and the switching of the TFT for driving the EL is controlled by the video signal, when the TFT for erasure is turned ON, the TFT for driving the EL is turned OFF, when the TFT for driving the EL is turned ON, the EL element emits light, and when the TFT is turned OFF, the EL does not emit light. |
