<p>An environment-adapted image display system by which an image is corrected in a shorter time, an image processing method, and an information storage medium are disclosed. Visual environment information is collected by a chromatic light sensor (60) and the output is converted to a color signal (Y3, x3, y3) by a Y3x3y3 conversion section (143). The Y value of the color signal (Y3, x3, y3) is replaced with Y1 which is the Y value of an ideal environment by a Y replacement section (142). The color difference between the color signal (Y1, x3, y3) after the replacement and the ideal color signal (Y1, x1, y1) is calculated by a color difference calculating section (145). If the color difference is out of an allowable correction range, the color difference is corrected by an environment subject coefficient correcting section (148).
