This invention relates to a universal joint (10). The universal joint (10) includes a pair of yokes (14), each yoke having aligned, transverse apertures through respective limbs (16) thereof. The joint (10) further includes annular rotation-support members (20) in the respective apertures (18) through the yokes (14), and two pairs of opposing pins (30) each of which has a journal (32). At least a first pin (30) of each pair of pins is insertable into the respective annular rotation support member (20) from externally of the respective yoke (14). The joint (10) includes also a central support (50) supportingly locating inner ends of the respective pins (30), and axial retainers (39) for checking the respective first pins (30) against axially outward displacement. The invention extends also to a repair kit or a replacement kit for a universal joint (10).
