One end of a swing arm is mounted to a pivot shaft provided on a power unit so as to be capable of a swinging motion. A rear wheel is rotatably mounted to the other end of the swing arm, an upper end of a cushion unit is mounted to the swing arm, and the lower end of the cushion unit is operatively linked via a linking mechanism to the power unit by a power unit swing shaft located at a position below the pivot shaft. It is not necessary to mount the upper end of the cushion unit directly to the vehicle body frame with the present invention. Therefore, fixtures such as electrical components can be concentrated in the vehicle body frame, whereby the physical capability of the vehicle can be enhanced and productivity of vehicle production processes can be improved.
