PURPOSE: A formation method of a side ditch is provided to prevent rainwater flowing along the surface of the earth from permeating into the lower ground, and to reduce the time of works and labor costs by pre-cultivating grass in a grass plate and installing in a job site and to fulfill function as a side ditch immediately after forming a side ditch. CONSTITUTION: A side ditch(A) comprises a main body(11), a watertight stiffening joint material(12), a strut(13), a floor material(14), a floor stiffener(15), a watertight stiffening floor joint material(16), a hanging plate(17) with holes(18), and a main body stiffening plate(19). A grass plate(B) coupled with the side ditch(A) contains an anti-hollowing plate(22) formed vertically and attached to the lower side of a cuboid netted wooden container(21) and holes(24) formed on a wing plate(23) to coincide with the holes(18) bored through the handing plate(17) of the side ditch, wherein the inside of the netted wooden container(21) of the grass plate(B) is filled with loose fibers and earthy materials and covered with grass, and the side ditch(A) and grass plate(B) are coupled by fitting a tension clip(31) between the hole(18) of the hanging plate(17) and the hole(24) of the wing plate(23).
