1,4-Benzoquinones are used as attractants for cockchafers. 1,4-Benzoquinones (I) comprising 1,4-benzoquinone and methyl-1,4-benzoquinone are used as attractants for cockchafers. An Independent claim is also included for a cockchafer attractant comprising (I) and optionally solvent, adjuvants and/or additives.
