The shower installation has a number of side shower jets positioned at different heights, with each of their respective supply lines (6,7,8,9) containing an electrically-operated valve (10,11,12,13), coupled to a driver circuit (20,21,22,23), operated by a control device (19) in dependence on the size of the shower user, provided by a sensor device (15,16,17,18). The control device is programmed for activating all of the side shower jets which correspond to the height of the user, or all of the side shower jets lying below the users head.
