PURPOSE: A method for processing an IP(Internet Protocol) packet forward engine between non-MPLS and MPLS networks is provided to synchronize a standard of a header so that it is possible for an IP address switching by deleting an SHIM header of Internet protocol data transmitted from the MPLS network to the non-MPLS network and transmitting the Internet protocol data. CONSTITUTION: It is judged whether it is connected from a non MPLS network or an MPLS network by a forward engine(S20). In case of the non-MPLS network, a best prefix matching of an IP address signal is performed and the IP address signal is outputted(S30). 1 value is subtracted from a certain TTL(Time to Live) value set in the forward engine(S40). It is judged whether the TTL value is same to or less than 0 value(S50). If the TTL value is same to or less than 0 value, a received packet frame is transmitted to an RCP through a switch(S60). If the TTL value is more than 0 value, a checksum value is confirmed again(S70). A header of an IP packet is updated(S80). In case of the MPLS switching, a top SHIM label is added(S110). It is judged whether a label is matched(S120). If the label is matched, the IP TTL value is adjusted for having a SHIM TTL value(S130). |
