ENGINE STARTING SYSTEM FOR VEHICLE

PURPOSE: An engine starting system for a vehicle is provided to prevent the kick back at the engine start and suppress the starting noise to low level. CONSTITUTION: An engine starting system of a vehicle has a starter motor cranking an engine corresponding to the specified starting operation and an ignition system igniting the engine at the specified engine speed corresponding to the starting operation. An ignition suppression means is equipped to suppress the ignition operation in the stopping process(after timing t0) of the engine stop condition from the operating condition. The ignition suppression means suppresses the igniting operation of the ignition system as much as the specified number of times(3 times: P2, P3, P4) when the engine speed(A) becomes less than the specified speed(800 rpm) in the above described stopping process. Therefore, catching at the engine start is prevented.
