PURPOSE: A method for transferring voice information using voice recognition and voice synthesis in a cyber lecture system is provided to remarkably reduce the amount of data transmission in the cyber lecture so that voice information can be smoothly transmitted even in a low-speed communication network. CONSTITUTION: If a lecturer speaks through a microphone connected with a computer, the voice is converted into characters or symbols by voice recognition software. The converted characters or symbols are transmitted to many computers, which are participating in the cyber lecture, through the network. The transmitted characters or symbols are converted into the voice by voice synthesis software so that listeners can listen to the lecturer's voice at their favorite styles. |
