PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for transiting a metal material by which a material having a high melting point can be ejected, and its equipment. SOLUTION: This method for transiting the metal material and its equipment are characterized by which the metal material is manufactured into a wire rod, and which after a first voltage is applied to an end portion of the wire rod for a first prescribed time and then discharged electrically, and which a second voltage lower than the first voltage is applied for second prescribed time longer than the first prescribed time, and which an electric discharge by which a molten ball is formed and grown forcefully is carried out and then the grown molten ball is flied with a gas current.
