PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the measuring accuracy of line length without increasing the memory capacity too much. SOLUTION: This apparatus for measuring the line length of a reel for fishing is obtained by multiplying a preset correction coefficient by a calculated line length with a reel controller 30 of an electric reel so that a fishing line having intrinsic information different from the stored related data of the fishing line can be wound when the reel controller 30 of the electric reel is kept in a designed line learning mode.
