PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a positioning method by which correlative position of pin position of hammer units adjoining each other can be determined or adjusted accurately and easily. SOLUTION: At least two positioning holes 9 are provided at a hammer spring 5 of a hammer unit, and a positioning jig 10 having standard positioning holes 11 at each position corresponding to the holes 9 is fixed on a back plate 1 of a hammer bank, and the correlative position of the hammer units are determined by inserting at least two positioning pins 13 into the holes 9 of the hammer spring 5 and the holes 11 of the positioning jig 10.
