<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an orthodontic ligature which can be installed speedily and simply and reasonably improves the comfortableness of a patient during installing it. SOLUTION: An elastic orthodontic ligature to be engaged with a conventional tooth fitting type orthodontic tool such as a bracket having tie wings is provided. In one use, this ligature is engaged behind and between the upper and lower tie wings of the bracket and extended onto the surface of the bracket so as to hold the arch wire in the groove of the bracket. This ligature is different from a publicly known elastic ligature in the shape of a flat ring body in that it is arched or curved so as to simplify and accelerate first engaging behind one side of the tie wing of the bracket.</p> |
