PURPOSE: To provide a radio telephone system which can be used by a user without being conscious of the hit of speech caused by the open/reconnection of a speech channel. CONSTITUTION: This system is provided with a time measuring part 106 for measuring the lapse of prescribed time and a sounding part 107 for performing the report of sounding. When the lapse of prescribed time is detected by this time measuring part 106, the speech channel is opened/reconnected, sounding is performed from this sounding part 107, and the lapse of prescribed time is reported to the user.
