The invention relates to a halide lamp, which is a metal halide high pressure gaseous discharge lamp. The metal halide lamp comprising a glass bulb (1), where a fill gas N2, a quartz tube (6), a threaded socket (9) are introduced, is made up of a discharge tube (A), two sections (2 and 8) of which the bigger section (2) with a getter (7) thereon is connected to the lateral side of the socket (9) and the other section (8) is connected to the base (a) of the socket (9), in order to obtain a high luminous flux and a high color rendering index.
