PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a ventilating structure for a building allowing the extremely easy formation of a ventilating layer for ventilating an attic by using a support fitting of a roof member. SOLUTION: A building skeleton 10 comprises a roof 20, a skeleton wall 11 and an exterior wall 13 disposed on the outer surface of the skeleton wall 11, and a support fitting 60 of approximately U-shaped cross section comprising a base 61, a link plate 62 and a support plate 63 is fitted to the skeleton wall 11. The base 61 of the support fitting 60 is fixed to the skeleton wall 11 while disposing the support plate 63 at the outer surface of the exterior wall 13 so that the support fitting 60 extends over the upper face part of the exterior wall 13. A wall outside ventilating layer A is provided between the support plate 63 of the support fitting 60 and the exterior wall 13, and an upper ventilating layer B is provided at the attic between a roof 20 and a ceiling member 12. The upper ventilating layer B and the wall outside ventilating layer A are communicated through the link plate 62 of the support fitting 60. Further, a wall inside ventilating layer C is provided between the skeleton wall 11 and the exterior wall 13, and the wall inside ventilating layer C and the wall outside ventilating layer A are communicated through the link plate 62 of the support fitting 60.
