PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To remove foreign materials such as metal powder, fine particles contaminated in a lubricating fluid of a dynamic pressure bearing. SOLUTION: A dynamic pressure bearing comprises a shaft member 1; a sleeve member 2 arranged around the shaft member 1 with a slight clearance; and a lubricating fluid 3 with which one portion of the slight clearance is filled. Dynamic pressure producing grooves 4 are formed at a portion filled with the lubricating fluid on at least one of the sleeve member 2 and the shaft member 1 to thereby relatively rotationally support the sleeve member and the shaft member 1. A peripheral groove 5 is formed to communicate with ends of the dynamic pressure producing grooves 4 on a downstream side of a flowing direction of the lubricating fluid 3, and the peripheral groove 5 is filled with a soft material 6.
