<p>Essential constituent components of a radio transmitting/receiving device are mounted separately in three or four modules having an interposer board (wiring board) in which terminals are connected after increasing the terminal pitch of a semiconductor component mounted on a major surface of the board to the pitch of the external terminals on the back of the board. A first module has a function of amplifying the received radio frequency signal, demodulating the signal to a baseband signal, and outputting it and a function of modulating the received baseband signal, converting the baseband signal to a radio frequency signal, and outputting the radio frequency signal. A second module has a function of amplifying the received radio frequency signal to a transmission power signal. A third module having functions of processing the baseband signal and controlling the units according to a transmission/reception sequence complying with the communication protocols. The user can build a radio transmitting/receiving device by mounting the three modules on a motherboard.</p> |
