PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a tension transmission type high load transmission belt and blocks therefor for reducing deformation after molding the blocks, preventing initial abrasion, having sufficient strength and capable of satisfying a condition required for the high load transmission belt at a high level. SOLUTION: In this high load transmission belt 1 composed of tension belts 3a and 3b and the plural blocks 2 arranged at a prescribed pitch in the lengthwise direction of the tension belts 3a and 3b, the blocks 2 are mainly composed of a material by adding a diallyl phthalate resin, carbon fiber and also a whisker-like reinforcing material, and are constituted so that a fibered reinforcing material becomes 20 to 100 pts.wt. and the whisker-like reinforcing material becomes 5 to 60 pts.wt. to 100 pts.wt. of the diallyl phthalate resin.
