PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a mail order method which enables a buyer to buy articles from dealers through a communication network only by registering the buyer on a mediator's computer. SOLUTION: The buyer registered on the mediator's computer obtains article information directly from the dealers. On a buyer's computer, a display of seller's article information and a display linked with the mediator's computer are displayed side by side at the same time and a request to purchase an article and ciphered cipher information are sent to the mediator's computer at the same time basically through single operation. The mediator's computer authenticates the purchase request and a deliverer delivers the article. The article price is settled after a cooling-off period. |
