PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a positive electrode active material having both load characteristics almost equivalent to LiMn2O4 and capacity as high as LiMnO2. SOLUTION: A positive electrode having a positive electrode active material, a negative electrode having a negative electrode active material, and a nonaqueous electrolyte interposed between the positive and the negative electrodes are provided, and the positive electrode active material has LiMn2O4 on the surface of compound particles expressed in a formula LiMnO2 or LiMn1-yMyO2 (where, M is an element including at least one kind from Al, B, Co and Ni). |
