PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a boom root installation structure of a wire rope capable of reducing an eccentric load on a boom to elongate a service life of the boom by eliminating restraint on horizontal movement relatively to the wire rope. SOLUTION: In this boom root installation structure, the wire rope is used in a twin-rope hang state and is installed to a wire rope root installation part via equalizing links not restrained back and forth and left and right, while the hanging portions of the wire rope are shifted to the center-side portions of top sheaves, i.e., to the inner sheaves from the outer sheaves of the top sheaves. Thereby, the eccentric load on the boom can be reduced to the utmost.
