PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To develop a thermal recording material having high sensitivity, causing little ground blushing and being excellent in the shelf stability of a colored image. SOLUTION: The thermal recording material is constituted by providing on a substrate a thermally coloring layer which contains a generally colorless or light-colored coloring compound, a developing compound capable of developing the color of the coloring compound in heating and a sensitizer as main constituents. The material contains a compound expressed by the following formula (1) (wherein R1, R2 and R3 denote individually hydrogen or a 5 or lower C alkyl, alkenyl or benzyl) as the developing compound, and a p- toluenesulfonic acid-β-phenoxyethyl ester and p-acetotoluidide as the sensitizer. |
