<p>PURPOSE:To excellently maintain the contact state of a transfer carrying belt with a photosensitive body by providing a belt pressing means rolling and press- contacting the photo-sensitive body through the belt on one end side of the belt. CONSTITUTION:The transfer carrying belt 53 is in press-contact with the photosensitive body and driven in one direction at the time of forming an image. The core part of a driving roller 45 is a metallic roller, and conductive rubber material is wound on the outer periphery of the metallic roller. A driven roller 46 is the metallic roller, and the length of the outer peripheral part in contact with the belt 53 is shorter than the width of the belt 53. Backup rollers 47 and 48 are respectively opposed to the roller 45 side and the roller 46 side, and come in contact with the belt 53. The core part of a pressure roller 52 is the metallic roller, and an elastic sponge member is wound on the outer periphery of the metallic roller. The belt 53 is pressed to the photosensitive body by the roller 52. The backup roller 48 and the pressure roller 52, etc., are a belt pressing means for bringing the belt 53 into press-contact with the photosensitive body.</p> |
