Apparatus and its use are described which enables analysis to be effected of correlations between psychomotor tasks, for example operating a switch and visceral perception, for example the user's consciousness of their own heartbeat. Such apparatus can be used for diagnosis, monitoring or training. For example, it may be used to enhance the perception of the inter-heartbeat interval by sportsmen, for example, in target shooting and archery.
