PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an elastic rotational body capable of providing a wide fixing nip width for sufficient, speedy, and efficient supply of heat required for melting toner in a fixing part where a heat roller (belt) and a pressure roller are in press contact with each other, in order to satisfy higher speed and image quality demand of markets of image forming devices (especially, color image forming devices) such as a printer and a copying machine, and to provide a fixing device having the elastic rotational body. SOLUTION: An elastic body layer is provided on a support. An extremely thin metal layer, for example, stainless having a thickness of 0.03 to 0.15 mm, is formed on the elastic body layer. If required, a releasing layer is provided on the surface of the extremely thin metal layer.
