PURPOSE: A parking brake for a vehicle is provided to improve braking force and stability by constraining a brake disk with a fixing pin, and to improve endurance by restricting driving of wheels in parking or stopping. CONSTITUTION: A parking brake system is composed of a brake disk(10) preventing vibration by constraining wheels, and having a ratchet(11); a caliper(20) placed in the upper part of the brake disk with an operating groove(21); a restricting member(30) placed in the operating groove, and driven selectively to control the brake disk; a connecting unit(40) transmitting operating force to the restricting member in operating a parking brake lever(5); a load bar(50) having a hinge part(51) and a moving part(52); and a link member(60) having a driving link(61) connected to the load bar, a fixing link(62), two auxiliary links(90) placed in the upper parts of the driving link and the fixing link, and an operating bar(100) transmitting operating force from the parking brake lever to the auxiliary links. The auxiliary links and the link member are varied in operating the parking brake lever, and the restricting member is inserted to the ratchet of the brake disk with interlocking the load bar and the connecting unit. Constraining and braking force is improved in parking or stopping.
