PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent soiling of a transfer roll by toner generated when a cleaner is abutted or separated. SOLUTION: In the device, a transfer part and a cleaning means are installed in the periphery of a toner image carrier, a transfer roll that is installed to be able to be abutted to or separated from the toner carrier at the transfer part and a cleaner that is disposed to be able to be abutted to or separated from the toner image carrier at a cleaning means are provided and separating position X3 of the transfer roll, abutting position of the cleaner X1, separating position of the cleaner X4 and abutting position of the transfer roll X2 are set in this order from a leading edge to an end edge of non image range H of the toner carrier. |
